As said above, I just went and picked up a Kahles 3-9x42 Helia CL   (51711, Matte finish, plex reticle, 1" tube, side focus, 100% new in box discontinued model) off of the sample list for $529.95.  That's the most costly peice of glass I ever bought.   It will be going on my H-S Precision 30-06 rifle.

I had thought for a long time that I was a "Leupold Man" and would only pick up Leupold scope's.  Out of the four rifle that I have now with glass only one is a Leupold, it's a  Vari-X 3  1.5-5X20 on a CZ 527 carbine.  I've got an AR with a 512 EOtech.  And I got a Burris 3-9X32 AO rimfire scope (from SWFA) on a high end Ruger 10/22.

Great choice, you did well. I like the fact that it is a 42mm lens, a nice all around size for a 3-9.

The exact same model scope is listed on ebay right now for $899.  For $529.99, I think I did alright.  I'll let you know how it turns out.  Heck the scope is still listed on the sample list as up for grabs, my sale is that new.  I'm thinking about Talley LW one peice rings.
Thanks SWFA,

great purchase for a great scope.  my kahles is a 2.5x10 cl i believe, cannot remember.  one of my best scopes.  would not trade it for any scope of any price.  last deer i shot last year was with a tc icon 243, using handloads, at 200 yards, 4a reticle, right through both ventricles of the heart, dropped like a rock.  was only a 102 pound doe, but great shot.  with that rifle scope combo, it shoots one hole groups at 100 yards.  i have shot it on one of my 300 wbys and it held zero to the hilt.  great scope and a great purchase you made.  you will love it.  everytime you pull it out and hunt with it you will be proud and everbody else will definately want it.  bye bye leupold.

I should be here today.  I can't wait!  I was thinking last nite about dusk that I'll have to take my scope outside and see how it does as the sun starts setting / darkness is coming.
I'll let you know when I get it.
