Hi guys, I have read all I can find about the new weaver tactical3x15.
I can't find nearly as much about the super slam 3x15.
I have no real need for ffp, but I am curious about construction, glass, or any other opinions.
If the tactical is that much better the price won't deter me,
thanks for the help,
Cdog.

i had the nitrex tr2 (super slam), good glass, repeatable. but the eye box is touchy at max power.

there are scopes in the same class for less $$. like the vortex viper

I have looked at the viper, but I am mostly concerned with the great f.o.v. that the 3x scope offers, far more important for me than having 1x more on the high end for my uses.
Thanks for the help.
Cdog.

I would say the Minox would be my pick.  Minox has been making cameras for a long long time and I have been really impressed with their little spotting scope.

Minox is good.  Use on my .204 for pdogs.  Glass is very good and tracking is on.  I have 3-15x50 plex.

Under a grand would be great, the minox seems like the bang for the buck.
Are there any other 3x15's in this price point?
Thanks again,
Cdog.

i was under the impression that the superslam and the tactical used the same glass. the added cost is for all the features. i have a tactical and love it. very glad i didnt spend the extra money on a viper FFP.
