Hi folks,

I need to find an allaround scope for 22LR shooting. I have narrowed it down to two and now I'm stuck!

Except for magnification, these scopes are very close in everything else - I have listed the specs below.

Both are around $200, give or take a few bucks. Both look like they have excellent warranties.

So which one will be better for informal target shooting 15yds out and further and maybe popping a rabbit or squirrel here and there?

I know the RV9 is AO focusable down to 10yds and I believe the Timberline is too, but I'm not sure. Anyone know what the Timberline will foucus down too?

So I guess, the question comes down to which scope has the better glass as far as clarity goes.

If there's more to it than that, please take me to school!
Here are specs:
Magnification Power, Objective: 3-9 x 32 A/O
Finish: Matte Black
Exit Pupil(in millimeters): 10.6-3.5
Field of View (feet @ 1000 yds): 37-13

Adjustment range/ windage & elevation: 60"W / 60"E
Overall Length (inches): 11.25
Weight (ounces): 12oz
Reticle: Dual-X
Burris Timberline 4.5-14x32:

I think the Timberline just goes down to 20.  I would go for the Timberline with the Ballistic Plex reticle just because I wouldn't want to fuss with little knobs with big hands, especially if you do some shooting with gloves in the cold.
And it's under $200...
And you can do the Ballistic Plex as 50, 75, 100, 125, and 150 yards with .22 LR Light It Up
