I just bought and installed a set of weaver polar caps / scope caps . I like them alot better than the butler creeks I was using . They have UV filtered lenses ... interchangable in light grey and yellow instead of plain clear on the objective . The case has a soft rubber area slip on impregnated to the hard outer ring instead of the hard plastic like the BC covers have ... giving a much better seal and fit . Takes alot of haze and glare out ... you can even see under water and through windshields with sun glare or factory tint . Not that anyone's going to shoot through a windshield now ! Never saw them talked about on here .... anyone else tried them ?

I have a set on a ruger pistol, and yes they do have amber lenses, but I sure don't use them, you can't see anything through them.  The caps are used for protective purposes only.

How true about the lenses .... useless ...  but the main body is far superior on fitting and sealing . Not the short hard plastic like my butler creeks .

I thought the Weaver Polar caps were like a polarizing filter on a camera....that you could turn the lens and darken or lighten glare, etc.  Is that not true?   Stare
