What is everyone's opinion on the Weaver Grand Slam?  Is it comparable to Bushnell 3200 or Burris FF2?

I don't like the construction of Weaver (that over-sized power adjustment).  But they have good glass and a lot of people realy like them.

I went to a gun show this weekend and finally got to see one in person.  Its a VERY good clear scope.  I thought it was very clear, clearer (in my eyes) than the Burris Full Field II, the Nikon Monarch, the Bushnell 3200 Elite and the Leupold VXII, not as bright as the Bushnell 4200.   Over all I was VERY impressed.  I didn't think I would every say that about a Weaver.  Also, while the adjustement looks different it works great and feels good in hand.

I have a 1.5x5 GS mounted on a Marlin 1895M (.450 Marlin).  It has taken the abuse of several Alaska moose seasons as well as frequent range sessions and continues to perform flawlessly.  Optically I would rate it just slightly less than the VariX III's I own.  It's definitely better than the VariX II's or Burris Fullfields.  For the money it is one of the best buys out there, IMO.

To make a long story short, I compared a friends Weaver GS to my comparable Leupold Vari-X-III on a deer hunt.  We watched deer until dark.  There was a small buck at about 80 yards.  I could count points with the Weaver when I could just barely make out the deer with my Leupold.  WOW!   I don't own a Weaver yet, and they do look a little "funky", but their performance is top notch.  I had to eat some crow that day.  Pretty is as pretty does.
