Hi guys, this is my first topic.

I'm trying to decide which scope to put onto my CZ527 American .223rem.

So far I'm set on two:
1. Bushnell Elite 4200 6-24x40 -----   $405   From The Optic Zone
2. Weaver Grad Slam 6-20x40  -----   $355   From The Optic Zone

I have 2 questions to ask:
1. Is 20x powerful enough for rabbit shooting up to 200m?
2. Is the Elite 4200 worth the extra $50?

If there's any other good scopes around $300-$450 please don't hesitate to tell me.

*Note: The Optic  Zone is about the cheapest shop that will ship to New Zealand (where I live). If I get a scope in NZ it will be about twice the price!

Cheers

They are both good scopes first off. I would go with the 4200 elite because I don't care for the way meades service operation works. This would steer me towards the 4200, the added magnification would also be a plus on bunny sized game beyond 200yds. Rainguard is another feature that the 4200 offers that really brings an added dimension to the table for temp changes, hot into cold, and rain or snow conditions. Lastly I have a 4200 elite on a varmint gun and it tracks like it has eyes and thats important to me for a long distance piece. I believe you will do fine with either but myself would lean towards the bushnell elite.

The Elite would be my choice, Weaver is the top Meade line and has great glass, but there is the " If you have to use WARRANTY thing" Still I also believe the 4200 has better glass. Listen to my friend Focus, He is a wise one and will not steer you in the wrong direction.
