Anyone own this scope and can provide feedback? Looking for a low power light scope for woods hunting, range under 150 yds. Also considering Leupold VX-2 1-4x20.

Without commenting on the merits of either of those scopes, 20mm objective scopes are generally less suitable for low- light use than scopes with larger objectives, regardless of lens coatings or the tried and true "exit pupil' comparison. To me, the 20mm scopes just seem less bright when it counts, but that could just be the limits of the scopes I've looked through, or my antique eyes. YMMV

I do not think light gathering is directly tied to objective size alone.  I believe the magnification range AND objective size both influence light gathering ability.  That is why 1-4 scopes usually have a 20 or 24mm objective size.

what you can see is based on exit pupil, calculated by your objective sized divide by the scope power.  so on a scope with a 20 objective on 4 power you have 20/4 = 5mm exit pupil,  the most the average human can "use" is about 7mm,  the closer to 7mm the "brighter" the image.

(this is the in a nutshell explanation, much more technical)

Glass quality, coatings, and the design of the whole optical system play a huge role also.  But all else being equal a larger objective will indeed make the image seem brighter.  Just ask the guys who use the Trijicon accupoint 3-9x40 and the 2.5-10x56 for low light and night time hog hunting  They all claim the 56mm is much better int hat regard.
