I I have a weaver grand slam 6x20 fine cross hair with a dot could I use this scope to elk hunt? If not can the reticle be changed?

I think it would work fine in broad daylight........ in low-light, you probably won't be able to see the reticle.  Reticles in general can be changed, not sure if Weaver does this though.

i'm looking into getting dots put in a scope. T K Lee at scopedots.com can install reticles in quite a few different models. if the reticle is held by setscrews, he can change it. if it's held by a ring with notches, he can't. call him, great guy, he can tell you what he can and can not alter.
