Just thought I would share an experience, I know CS is a big deal.

Bought a Weaver 3-9x56 from SWFA, advertised as a side focus.  In my research, I found one online review that said it was not a side focus.  When I called to order, I asked to confirm side focus, and she said yes it was (she went and checked) and to be honest when I first opened it, I thought it was until closer inspection.  As it is the scope is NOT side focus, even though it said it was on the box and is advertised online many places.

I called SWFA and let them know, but told them I was going to call Weaver as I saw it more as their problem.  SWFA said no problem, they would make a note of it and if my conversation with Weaver wasnt resolved, they would take care of the return for me.

Called ATK, got a real person that transferred me to Weaver department, however no answer so they took my info to call me back.  I was doubtful as sometimes that doesnt work well.  After an hour, I got a call.  Described my problem, sent them an email photo of the box my scope came in, they confirmed it was an issue and gave me a couple options of what they could do.

I emailed my decision, they sent me address to send scope in to and for a small fee I was able to upgrade to a 4-20x50 with the illuminated #4.  I felt they were very prompt, and was satisfied with everything.  The fee they proposed was very reasonable, and included a discount for me having to ship the scope to them.

Overall very happy with the end result, the only concern I have is that they acted like this was news to them, gentleman said he had "never heard of this problem before".  I guess I was the only one ever to purchase one....
That thing on the left....my old ride, some days I miss her.

Is it the Weaver 2-10 Tactical by chance?  I've been thinking about the one on the Sample List.  Most 10/12x scopes don't have parallax adjustment anyway but I have noted this feature is listed on that scope by vendors selling on Ebay.  I don't recall if SWFA did initially but it is not listed now for the new scope or the demo.  The price of this model has always seemed high compared to the illuminated Weaver 3-15 Tactical which I do have and like.  I attributed the high price to the side focus.  May wait a while to see if SWFA introduces a 2-10 SS since the rifle it will go on won't be available until late spring 2015 anyway.  Weaver's marketing guru must not be a shooter.

The one I bought was the super slam euro 3-9x56. Can't comment on the others.

More than a few times, I have talked with a customer service rep about a very well-known issue and been told "we've never heard of that before." Never with Weaver, personally, but it is a common ploy - if more than a little dishonest.
