I can not remember where I read it, but I remember people saying the V24 was not as good optically as the V16 ... Can anyone with experience with these two scopes respond to this please ?
Thanks

Most high power variables I've seen and used tend to grow weak at the top power however I have not used the v24 I suspect at 20 setting would be excellent, I tend to go for the higher power and reduce power if necessary, better to have then not.

I would agree with this. The V24 isn't as nice optically at the higher powers. The V16's, at least some of them, also have an issue on max power with a bit of wash out and a critical eye box. I also don't think the V24 is as durable but that is somewhat of a relative thing as the V16 is tough as nails so it makes a lot of scopes look bad!
