I noticed Weaver makes a fixed power rifle scope in their K-series which is a 8x56. Has anyone tried one or looked through one?

Nope....never had one. I know that Weaver made one back in 1981....the old El Paso Weavers....but then they went out of business after 50 years.........I have had old Weavers from this time period....very good scopes.....but heavy because they were steel....I like 'em!!

Yeah, I know what you mean about their weight. I just bought an older Remington 700 which has the Weaver 8x with adjustable objective. It is almost 19 ounces. Leupold makes an 8x40 with adjustable objective available through their custom shop. I placed an order for one and I hope to have it in a couple of weeks.
