Is this a decent scope? What makes it special from the ordinary Weaver 4X? It is used, does Weaver have a warranty that moves with customer?

I believe it's just the regular K4 Japanese in a steel tube. It ain't worth the money. IMO....
And I just bought a real Weaver El Paso off of ebay two weeks ago....a K6-1 Micro Trac for $99 plus postage....

I found some more info. Of course they are the steel tube scope and come originally in a collectors tin.
It would appear that the internals are Japanese and I can't find any reference to the internals being any different from the aluminum K4 for considerably less money in original retail. The steel scope is a little over 5 ozs. heavier. |

Thanks guys, it was a used scope but in the end I think I'll keep an eye out for better 4X. I never see them but from some recent threads I realize there are some interesting used fixed scopes out there.
Actually awhile ago a Kahles came available and in my ignorance I didn't realize what it was!!! I have spent some time getting educated around here since.

There's nothing wrong with the 80th Anniversary Model...it's just a lot of money for a steel tubed Weaver K4 scope!
I would like to find one of the old 1983 Bill Weaver Commemoratives on ebay....but, again, you could get a decent NEW scope for the same price as one of those old engraved models. ( They look cool, though! )
