Greetings:  I am new here, but think I will like this site...as I am am=n avid shooter and re-loader.
QUESTION: I was yard sailing yesterday, and took a gamble and purchased a Weaver 330 Scope complete with a Redfield flat base mount with 3/4 rings on it.  The front ring is a 'thicker' ring with two screws for tighteners.  The scope is clearly marked Weaver 330 Pat. Pending.  It is in overall nice condition with very nice blueing.  The scope itself is a 'post' style and is very clear.  I do not have any idea of the power, but it is magnified some...how much I do not know.  Overall length is 11 inches.  The adjustment knobs...have some sort of metal 'check on them so they 'click-stop' and are held permanent with the 'metal pointers'.It is clean, and has been kept in what appears in a nice place, I think the gentlemans vault.  He said it was his fathers from the war.   Does anyone out there have any idea of the power it may be...or what it would be best used for?  I just bought it on kinda of a whim, and it came with a Stoeger 2.5X8X32 scope as well.

I figured I would use for some trade stock or whatever.  Thanks for any help that can be offered.  I have photos if anyone would like a look-see.

It is exactly like that one...but in a better shape.  The blueing is really nice throughout, and the 3/4 rings are in excellent shape.  The rings are mounted on a Redfield mount..the Redfield Jr. mount, I believe.  The optics are really clear, no spots or blemishes, and there is very scarce surface rust...almost no-where.
Looks like the ole fella took it off something, and set it in a safe..or someplace clean and dry.  It is in really nice shape.

k8scopa,

It´s always better to be in your shoes and have an item that someone will give an arm + leg for than vice versa

It is a 3 power----invented in 1930, hence the 330 name.   It's a collectors item. Bill Weaver's first scope.
