I put a WEAVER 2.5-8x32 on my Remington XP-100R / .223 and it's always had a weird sight picture...like one of the lenses is tilted or something.

Base and rings are Redfield JR / low matte, and I've installed this kind of setup many times on other guns without any problems, so I don't think I tweaked anything.

Is this normal in a long eye relief scope?

Should I send it back to Weaver for repair?

Sometimes the mount, especially for pistols, are too high or low in the front or back to cause "optical centering". Burris makes off center ring inserts to make up for this in their Signiture series. You don't say if this is happening at all powers. My guess is that it is mainly on the highest-looks like a panorama and is more obvious as you slowly swing the gun and scope thru an arc. If it occurs on low power also send it back. If only on high power get a better scope.

Something looks fishy, like a lens is flipped or warped...

I should've gotten the Burris 3-12 in the first place.

Silly me.
