Anyone got any experience with Weatherby Acumark rifles?  How accurate are they chambered in 270 Win. or any other standard calibers?

Use premium ammo and do your part, and they generally shoot better than MOA. I have 3 Mark V's ( fluted sporter, deluxe and stainless) and each shoot MOA with no trouble. In fact, they are easily the quickest rifles I have seen to sight in and find a load for.  Great gun- deserves excellent mounts /  optics also----enjoy it...

Like Martin said they shoot great. I also have the mark V. in 270 cal. It has taken its share of deer each year, from 75 yards out 300.You will enjoy it years from now.

I own one Accumark in a 30-378 Wby. and it shoots sub moa groups at 100 yards.  I own multiple other Wby. rifles, primarily Mark Vs and a couple Vanguards, all but two in Wby. calibers.  All are very accurate and a .270 Winchester in an Accumark should be no different.  Wby. rifles are extremely well made, as I have taken many out of their stock for cleaning or re-stocking and their fit and finish is equal to many semi-custom rifles and it will serve you well.  I will say, in deference to Martin3175, the only thing that I do not like about my Wby. rifles with a pencil thin barrel, are difficult to sight in, as the barrels heat up rapidly.  With the Accumark in Wby. or non-Wby. calibers this should not be a problem and a .270 Winchester in a Wby. with a pencil thin barrel, should also be less of a problem.  However, if you buy a Wby. in a Wby. caliber, with a pencil thin barrel, I would recommend taking only two shots at 50 yards.  The receivers are very accurately drilled and tapped for scope mounts and after bore sighting in the traditional manner, the shots at 50 yards are usually almost right on.  Then go to 100 yards and take two shots, using a large target bore and make your first adjustment.  I try not to make an adjustment at 50 yards, as I feel the need to take another shot, just heating up the barrel more, before going to 100 yards.  After you make your adjustment, take your next shot, followed by another.  (i.e., 2 shots before making another adjustment.)  As soon as you get a flier, STOP SHOOTING.  Go and do something else, like shooting another rifle or pistol for at least 30 minutes and then come back to the Wby. and continue.  You will save ammunition (money) and time.
