I'm looking into this handgun and wanting to know if anyone has first hand experience with it.

Stephanie, I had looked really hard into that gun because my wife likes her P22 so much and they are suppose to be basically the same.  I went and handled one in a store and it does feel almost identical, as long as she things the same I will get one shortly.  It has gotten great reviews and I don't think you could go wrong with it. Just make sure it fits your hand well.

I had a chance to hold it on Saturday and loved it. Wish I had a chance to shoot it. All around it seems to be a great gun. Have heard some negative feed back, but more positive then negative.

Thanks for your thoughts!! Big Grin

I have a couple of Walther's, a pre-68 P-38 and a German PPKs. I think they exhibit excellent workmanship. My brother (coyote95 here @O.T.) has recently picked up a PPS in 9mm. The only thing that has changed between the guns I own and his is nothing. The quality of manufacture is top drawer, then and now.
I would buy a modern one in a .380, no question.

I'd get the 9mm PPS.  With that said, some people in Prescott AZ still have some used Sig P-6's.  I'm carrying one and have a spare.  Sig will do a SRT trigger and I'll do that to the spare when /if my buddy the customer holster makers gets done with it.

Stephanie, I bought my wife one  after getting her started with a Walther P22. It is one of the best handgun investments I ever made. My wife likes it ( all controls/and feel of the pistol are very similar), I like it, it handles whatever brand and type of ammo I have put through it.
I'll add that she is small-framed and 115 lbs, this pistol does not intimidate her at all.
 Dive in and enjoy !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Derek

Nice, just remember you have to mail it and 50 rounds to each person who helped on this thread for them to play with it..

Let us know how it works out.

I haven't shot one, but I handled one and liked the ergonomics.  I would have no hesitation to buy a Walther pistol in general, as I have no doubt it is well made.

I was sold on the grip, low cocking resistance slide and the ambidextrous manual safety. I'm able to shoot left or right handed and that would come in handy.Yippee
