Hey sorry if my questions are stupid but i need help!. Been looking at buying a VXI 3-9x40...my concern is with the micro friction adjustments. How do they compare with click adjustments? Is it difficult to line up the markings with the micro friction dials, or would this be much easier with a click adjustment? If i decide in the future i want the finger adjustable knobs with clicks is this an easy change over? Or would it be easier to buy a new scope? Thanks for your help!

You know what they say about stupid questions??? The only one is the one not asked.
Leupold has offered the friction style adjustments forever with no complaints. There is no need to line up the markings, they are just there as reference points to help when making adjustments. In fact some people prefer it because you are not restricted to 1/4" increments. If you plan to mount your scope, sight it in and never mess with the adjustments again the you will be fine. If you plan on sighting it in and making adjustments in the field for different yardages then get 1/ moa clicks and preferably finger adjustable dials. Leupold can not change your scope over if you decide to switch later you will have to buy a new scope. |

There are better scopes out there for the money than the VX-1 IMHO.

If it ain't accurate at long distance, the fact that it is flat shooting is irrelevant.
