I'm looking for a sub-12 ounce 2-7x for a 6.5 Grendel for the wife and kids. How do the VX2, Weaver Classic V and Fullfield II/ E1 lines compare? I have a Weaver RV7 and have had a Pentax Frontier which was supposed to be a Fullfield. Never have tried a VX2. Is there a 1-4x in the same price range that would do as well in the pre-dawn?

If Redfield = VX1, there's a VX1 available with a heavy reticle. I guess I could try it and send it back. VX2 with custom reticle seems likely. Might as well go VX3 at that point, though.

Thing is these people are afraid of the dark and don't appreciate. An extra $150 would be better spent on a trigger upgrade or just practice ammo. I guess I'm the one making it difficult.

That is slick, but slightly heavy. We're shooting for 7# all up on a 20" AR. I should consider putting that on one of my rifles and moving a VX3 1.75-6x onto their rifle.  Kinda like that 1.75-6x, though.
