Hi All,

Looking at replacing a 30year old plus Redfield 3x9x40 that has given up the good fight on my T3 30/06, considering the above mentioned scopes.

There is not a real lot of info going around in regards to the Hakko's but have read some promising reports from a few who have them. Recently purchased a VX2 3x9x40 for my son 30/06 and it seems pretty nice (as it should) and is very light. The Hakkos are a fair bit heavier which is a minor negative but overall I guess that is not a huge thing. The rifle is mainly used for deer stalking so gets carried a lot more than it gets shot :)

Cheers,
Waldo

Just for reference I ended up going the safe route and went for the VX2, the weight of the Hakko was just too much of a concern. Over the weekend I'll mount it and bore sight then off to the range before taking it hunting.
Cheers,
Waldo

IMO leupold being some of the lighter scopes made out there. There is nothing sacrificed by being light weight.

I agree, I use Leupold lens covers that would make a little more handy... not a big deal though.
