What size scope caps do I need for a Vortex Viper 2-7x32?

What are the best caps - Bushwacker or Butler Creek Blizzard caps?

Call SWFA about the cap sizes!

I've only used BC over the years & have never had any problems!

I could use a pair also for the 2-7x32 Viper but I have not got the size yet either.  Sorry.

I've got a #13 on the objective end.  I don't use one on the ocular but I would use a #13 eye if I did.

I had a bad experience with the blizzard covers, bought a set that just kept involuntarily popping open which is why I was wondering if anyone had tried the bushwacker covers.  I am also wondering if the black covers have a better locking mechanism.

On the sizing - according to SWFA it is 13eye and 15obj, these are the part numbers for the standard black covers, not the see-threw blizzard covers.  SWFA was not able to provide a size for the blizzard covers but if I cross-ref the sizes on the black covers it comes out to size 4 on the eye end and size 5 on the objective end.

Sorry, it should be size 4 on both ends for the blizzard covers

Objective on that Viper measures 39.2mm.  A #15 BC objective is 39.6mm.  The #13 on mine is 38.9mm and fits good.

I just bought the viper 2-7X32 and the BC caps as a kit from SWFA
the email said:

137K       Butler Creek Lens Caps Kit         1.00     1.00     0.00
           13 Eye, 15 Obj
They are due to arrive tomorrow so I'll know for sure when I get home and try them tomorrow around 4pmEST.

Just pulled mine again to quadruple check and it's a #13 FOR SURE.

Maybe a #15 won't be that loose.  I mean we are talking plastic here.  All I know is that my #13 fits how I like them to.

Excellent  GOOD to hear,Bud.  I don't use one on the eye piece because I find I may have to tweak the fast focuses on my scopes every once in a while.  I'm SURE it has to do with my age and sight.

Yeah the eye piece is definitely snug and would inhibit tweaking!

Size 4 blizzard cover fits the objective end perfectly but it is VERY snug on the eye end because of the rubber focus ring, mine kept popping open I assume because it was stretched out too far.

The standard butler creek black covers have much more precise sizing options, as has been said size 13 fits the eye end very well.

Based on this, I would stay away from the blizzard covers for this application...unless someone reports a size 5 fits the eye end but i'd imagine it would be too big.
