I have yet to see a Burris Euro Diamond apperar in any sporting goods store so; I can't help you with any direct comparisons.  I have however, spent some time behind a few Burris products and I have yet to find one that impressed me.   Based on this alone, I am not personally too excited about their new binocular.

I would think you would likely be better off with the Vortex or perhaps a Pentax DCF SP, Bushnell Discoverer, Leupold Pinnacle, or even Zeiss Conquest.

It's funny you should ask that question because I have the Vortex Razor and I was recently in a well-known sporting goods retailer and saw the Burris Euro Diamond.  I can't swear this is the case, but to me, the size and subtle details of the Euro Diamond look identical to the Razor, except for the color of the rubber armoring and the logos.  I haven't compared the specs, so I don't know if they match up or not.  I also didn't look through the E.D. outside of the store, so I can't judge it's optics, though it did look good in the store.  Just going by appearance, it looks to me like both binos could possibly be made by the same manufacturer.

What I can tell you is that the Razor is excellent in every respect, so if the Burris is indeed a rebadged version of the same bino, which I'm not saying it is, then it is definitely worth considering.  However, between the two I would still get the Razor if it were me, because I trust Vortex's customer service more.  I too haven't been very impressed with Burris' bino offerings either, so don't take this as an endorsement of the Euro Diamond.  I just thought it worthy of note that they look like basically the same binocular, and if so, the Euro Diamond would be a very nice departure from previous Burris binos.

I sent in a Burris 10x50 to have some scrathes removed from a lens, although they did a great job on the lens, they also messed up the focusing wheel. After three tries to get it repaired back to normal I gave up on them and gave the binoculars away to someone who is in the optics repair business. (I finally figured out how to repair it myself, but I did not have the expertise to make it a permanent fix)

A big fat ditto to RifleDude's comments. I was in the same sporting good store, different location, recently and checked out the Euro Diamonds. They were very similar optically and ergonomically to the Vortex Razors.
