Hi folks,
I have a couple of Vortex Razor HD Spotting Scopes....shown below....
My uses are 99% looking downrange at bullet-holes.
I'm wondering if I could set and never need to adjust with a larger FOV?
Does anyone own this thing?

That eyepiece is pretty new, so you will likely not get too many user reviews.

Probably the simplest way to tell if the fixed power eyepiece will work for you is to keep note of which power you set you variable eyepiece to.  If you always keep it low and still need more FOV, then the fixed power eyepiece is just the ticket.  Also, if you struggle with the the eyerelief, the fixed power is a lot easier to use with shooting glasses.

I am currently testing the 65mm Razor and for typical range use it almost never leaves the lowest power setting.  However, it is pretty warm where I live, so with mirage being an issue, using higher magnification is not always viable.  I will get my hands on the fixed power eyepiece and test it as well, but I suspect for my purposes at the range it will work well and a longer eye relief is a good thing for the way my face is shaped.

Better low light might be useful on occasion as well.

I know this is an old thread, but I figured I should resurrect that for a bit.

I have been playing with Vortex' LER fixed power eyepiece for a while now on a 65mm Razor HD spotter body and it is just superb.  18x magnification is sufficient for me most of the time, especially when it is warm and the image quality with this combination is just superb.  Easily in the alpha scope range.

I would probably prefer it with a straight eyepiece than the angled one I am using, but both work. It is especially useful when I set it up next to me when shooting prone with iron sights or a low power scope.  With its 30mm eyepiece, I can just turn my head and take a look at the target with minimal disturbance of my shooting position.
