I have looked at many options for a spr, I am getting a MDR rifle in 556 ,but I want the 308. I will wait util the 308 conversation kit comes out with a 19 INCH barrel then I will get it. This gets me to my point of all the options I believe I am going to get a vortex pst 2.5x10, it should work great for a spr 308 and okay with a 556,can anyone here give me their personal opinion on the vortex pst 2.5x10, good to go or recommend something better, thanks Kevin

I purchased one for my son-in-law, set it up on a Browning Stalker in 7mmRemMag... I'm not that impressed with it.. it is OK, I suppose.  Some people like them.

If I had it to do over, I would look at the Sightron S-TAC line...

Sightron has not failed me yet.

The S Tac, the SIII and the Big Sky II glass is awesome.

The SIghtron's in question are SFP scopes, the Vortex 2.5-10x32 is FFP.

Apples and oranges.

I have seen several samples of the 2.5-10x32FFP and like it a lot.

I prefer FFP scopes, but function takes priority.  End result, projectile in the X, is more important to me than whether it is FFP or SFP.  If the tool fits my requirements, I will use it…
apples and oranges are targets...

I would like very much to find a 2x12 ffp scope, with a similar reticle as the vortex pst, I like there MOA reticle a lot, if anyone here knows of a scope with ffp and a 2.5x10 or 3x15 it would be great even if it cost a little more. I understand I will get the SS 3x15, I just have a hard time with mil dots, if SS had a 3x15 in MOA I think I would get it

Check out this post… excellent info and may be of help:

I prefer MOA/MOA because it finer adjustment, other than that it really doesn't make any difference to me.  I do have to do some "mental realignment" going from one to the other, but after a few minutes it really doesn't make any difference.  I think CFII's post can be game changing for a lot of people.
