Would the lack of parallax adjustment on this scope be a concern? It has a field of view that rivals most 3-9 scopes, and I know you guys like diamondback glass.

How far are you shooting? If your hunting I'd say it won't make much difference.

Alright. It seems like a nice scope for my .243 with its relatively wide FOV and compact package.

12 X is right on the edge regarding parallax correction. This is a decent scope...not top shelf but certainly able to function for it's intended usage. For strictly hunting applications you should be fine.

The Adjustable Objective model of that scope is about the same price. That's a parallax adjuster.

The adjustable objective is $100, or 50% more. I would use a 3-9 to avoid parallax rather than buy that model to correct for it...

So I was at a retailer that had these in stock when I opened this thread.  I liked the view, and asked to buy one.  They were out, but agreed to sell me the display model.  I had no reservations because it looked flawless.  The scope complements my little .243 very well.

However, there are 3 phillips screw heads and one empty hole in the black peripheral area that surrounds the image.  They are located at the northwest, northeast, southeast, and southwest locations.  The empty hole is in the southwest location.  I can't help but wonder if there should be another screw head there.  It is also just a little distracting.

Anyone think this is reason for concern?  I might just call Vortex up on Monday.
