Did anyone else notice the discounted scopes were blurry.Yesterday at the range one of the loyal members was saying that his buddy has compared both scopes and noticed a significant differance in optics quality.Later that day that person came by with that scope and showed the other shooters there and they agreed that the discounted scope was not as clear as the regular Vortex Crossfire.I traded my Crossfire a few weeks ago for an older Bushnell lite sight. My impression was that it was a decent scope for the money just wondering if any other OT members noticed a differance also.

Mine isn't blurry at all. I am pretty impressed by it and I think it is worth the full asking price.
I haven't been able to compare it to another one. It is a keeper, regardless.

Is your's the discounted model? The confusion is that the discounted/mismatched model was inferior to the regular scope.

Mine is the discounted model. I don't know how it compares to the regular model.
It has performed quite well on the heavy kicking spring gun I put it on.

We had a thread go south the other day regarding Sightron. Let's keep it clean on this open forum where folks come for information about scopes.
Humoring one another is all good and fun. We have to keep the other stuff out of here.

Actually, it's a ref signaling that you just racked up more "insert foot in mouth" points which you just did again!!! Roll Eyes  Sorry if you have to resort to personal attacks but from prior posts of yours that's the way you seem to roll.

SWFA had sold a run of mismarked Vortex Crossfires.Someone at the gun club believed his older Crossfire was indeed better opticly than the recent discounted model.

Did the "gun club guy" have the scope adjusted properly?

Your almost insinuating in your post that the SWFA discounted scopes are blemished some how and SWFA is knowingly selling an inferior product.
(Hence the fire mission from the SWFA floosies on this forum.)  Soldiers

Jus sayin....

SWFA I believe would try to make the customer happy if that were the case. His scope was blurry around the edges.

Yes, undoubtedly SWFA will back their products as SOP.

As far as your comments on some of the membership being "rude"??
Well, pot meet kettle!!
You Sir, have given as good as you've gotten in your tenure here, as far as I'm concerned.

Mine is fine.

It is sharp and eye relief and placement even at 24x are generous.

I compared it to the Millet TRS-1 at the same magnifications (i.e. at powers between 6-16 for both scopes) while at SWFA a few weeks back.

In fact, I bought one of the Vortex Crossfire 6-24x50 1" tube discounted scopes rather than that Millett TRS-1 due to how bright and how good the optics where, especially at 24x.

I did a physical comparison between both scopes at the same time. The youger Chris at SWFA brought out 2 of the 6-24x50 1" tube Crossfires and a Millett TRS-1 4-16x50 (new model with 1/4moa adjustments) and I compared all three right there on the spot.

Both Crossfires were the same.

I suspect the folks at the range didn't have the eyepiece adjusted for their vision.

I should add, I wish I could get another Vortex Crossfire 6-24x50 for that price again but they are sold out.

Anyhow, I've put of future scope purchases until I see what else Vortex comes out with. The new 1-4x24 I'm anxiously awaiting and I want to go back to SWFA and look at the new Crossfire illuminated 4-16x50 and the illuminated 6-24x50 (30mm tube) when they arrive.

At the time when I bought my 6-24x50 1" model those other two weren't in stock yet.

You know hunter, Or you should know by now anyways (given your tenure here) We pick on everyone, and we get picked on by everyone. Just part of the comraderie here. You are a tad too pious in your remarks to well established members of this forum. You have had your say here and there, others have had theirs too. I made a comment about a rather obvious thread you started. Others saw the same thing I did.Your comments also hurt SWFA in sales. This is their forum. We are guests here. Remember that.  You want respect from folks? Show some first, no one here owes you anything. You as a member here do owe SWFA, and Chris Farris, as do all of us. Take care of that tidbit first, and everything else will fall into place just fine.

First off everone here visits the forum for good advice,as for marketing and sales I believe it's good for business to have competition.Sure I buy from here and other companies. But you should be careful with what you say to a customer for being rude.Like you said you and some other members like to poke fun at one another but you single me out is kind of unfair.Just let it go.Roy Finn is a complete gentleman and I wish other moderators were as genuine and down to earth as he is.
