Viper 6.5-20x44 Target Dot
I am thinking about purchasing it for my Savage FP10.

What do you think?

What will you be using this setup for?

I have shot a colleague's .204 with this scope and it was exceptional for shooting at the range.
The biggest thing for me is I use most of my rifles some some type of hunting so 6.5x on the low end is a little much.

A lot depends on what the purpose for this rifle is.
Post some details and you will recieve a lot of input from many of the shooters on this forum.

I had the same one with the 50mm objective for a while.  It was actually a very good scope.

I don't think it would be a good hunting scope as the reticle is very fine ( would be hard to see in low light)and 6.5x on the bottom is a lot.  For a p-dog or target scope it should work pretty well.
Lifetime warranty and excellent customer service don't mean a thing when your gun fails during a zombie attack.

I will be using it for both hunting and target shooting.

Are there better options for the same price?

Well what kind of hunting?

Like SuperTool said, the reticle is very thin, limiting you in low light and dark background situations.
What will be the closest shot you take, what is the farthest shot you will take and what is your target?

It is extremely hard to make recommendations without details.

The closest shot I take will be about 200 yards. The farthest shot I will take will be about 1000 yards.
Target could be anything from deer to coyote.

Thanks,

It could work, especially in the open fields of Indiana, but I would prefer something in a 4-16x50 with either a duplex or mildot reticle. If you included whistle pigs for early summer bean fields, then it would a good choice.
What caliber is the Savage?

1/8MOA adjustments will be a bit tricky, but I will look into it.

Yeah i thought so to but Minox makes some good stuff.

4-20x would be nice for what you will be shooting.
Only thing is those adjustments.

I was going to suggest a 4.5-14x50 Conquest, until I figured out the budget.
