Thank you for your time,
This is something that probably won't appeal to anyone who does not collect 40's to 50's vintage rifles. I recently acquired from a friend a scope that has been in his family for many decades.
It is a Norman-Ford "The Texan", 2.5 power, and what appears to be fine crosshairs by today's standards. What makes this scope unique is condition. It is in the original box with the packing tube and to my eyes has never been mounted, it is pristine as new. I know a bit of history, but probably far from all. The bit: it is made to the same dimensions as the Lyman Alaskan of the same era with equal quality. If there is any interest in acquiring a rare condition vintage scope such as this, please email direct
At LRB1200@aol.com, so I can arrange sending images from my computer.
