I was just wondering who the Vets were that post on OT?

I served as a C-130 loadmaster from 02-06 and did 5 tours (4 iraq, 1 afghanistan) overseas in those 4 years. Based out of Little Rock AR.

To all the vets, THANK YOU!

I think i really got an even greater appreciation for vets and people that do similar type work when 1, my brother joined the Army, and became an Army Ranger (he's based out of Ft Lewis Washington) in 05' and two, when i got out and had time to reflect on the great relationships built and missions accomplished.

We flew evac missions with wounded Army/Marines from different locations back to Balad (main medical base inside Iraq) a # of times and it really hits hard when you see guys who are 19-20 years old risking their lives for a country that in this day in age really doesn't seem to appreciate it like days of old. I know it's not actually the majority who could care less, but you have brave men and women doing it everyday regardless of situation.

I know i'm new to the OT boards, but there are some serious class acts here. Regardless of your resume it's nice to know there are people who share the same morals and values around the country once in awhile. Big Smile

Thanks koshkin,

I  should also throw another thanks your way as you were one of the awesome reviews i read on the Bushnell Elite 6500 2.5-16x. I opted to go with that scope for my new target rifle. Most money i've spent on a scope to date and it's because of reviews like yours that made it an easier decision.

The sad thing is that even in the last two years of WWII there were plenty of people back home who never served and gave little thought to the troops in the field while they were safely whooping it up.
