I am in the market for a nice scope for one of the following for a new remington rifle. Rem. .221, .223, .22-250, .17 or .22 for varmit hunting in the Southeastern US. I was thinking of a Leupold, Bushnell Eliete, Nikon Monarch, ect. Would like to hear suggestions from anyone about brand, power that I should purchase. Most shots will be inside 200 yrd range and most likely inside 100yrd range. Thanks for you help!
Can anyone suggest a good .22 rifle to purchase? I like to do alot of walking so I don't want anything too heavy. Thanks |

I have two Elite 4200 4x16x40 on a .223 and a .204Ruger and they are great scopes for the cost..I just mounted a Elite 4200 2.5x10x40 on a 25-06 and really like it.Also have a Burris 4.5x14 Fullfield scope on a .221 Fireball and it is a great scope.I like this scope better than my Leupold vx-2.As for a .22 I really like my CZ-452.

I would get a .17hmr. I just bought one , a Ruger 77/17 and am really having fun with it. Put a 4.5-14 Burris ffII on it and it shoots consistent sub 1" groups. Just installed a Rifle basix trigger and am hoping in 1/2" groups........
