I posted a while back about searching for a scope for my Cooper Model 57M in 22LR.  Here's what I've found so far.  I ordered a Kahles 2-7X36 Rimfire and sent it back.  Eye relief was too short.  Also, the 50 yd parallax was great for close up, but out at 100yds the scope wasn't clear.  I tried to order a Leupold 3-9X33EFR and couldn't find one.  Then I tried to order a Leupold VXIII 6.5-20X40EFR and couldn't find one.  I decided it was too big anyway, and I decided I really didn't want to deal with AO.  So I put my Conquest 3-9X40 on it.   I found that at 3X I could shoot up close just fine and that from about 30yds out I could use 9X.  The Zeiss is too big, so I ended up going with my Leupold VXIII 2.5-8X36.  Right size and right power.  It balances perfectly and works great.  I can't shoot 8x at 10yds, but why would you need to?   Bottom line, if you're looking for a good rimfire scope, don't limit youself to scopes that have "rimfire" or EFR in the name.
