I've got this like-new genuine Colt compact scope, with original box and mount. The mount itself appears to be factory-installed to the scope, but is not at all like others I've seen, can't possibly mount on an AR carrying handle as-is. The base has a long (1 inch) spring-loaded rod sticking out of the front and a locking cam arrangement on the rear. The base itself has a tapered front-to-rear cut on the underside, which I assume matches the rest of the mount assembly. The whole thing appears to be a quick-detach unit, except that the mating wedge-shaped assembly is not there. Clear as mud, I know. I'm hopeful that the person that knows what it is will be able to i.d. it from this garbled description. many thanks. |

The set up as I'm reading it, sounds like a bunch that was done for the Korean Daewoos when they were being imported about 15 or so years ago. or an Armalite 180????

The AR180 thing makes sense, the guy I bought the scope from also had an AR 180 , which got sold earlier. Maybe I'll try to market it as an 180 scope and mount-should be super rare and bring a buck or two!! Many thanks indeed! |

In fact, I just found a picture of an AR180 scope mount and it's identical!!! I just love the internet (most times)- any question can be answered. Good work!! |
