I have a Bushnell Trophy scope mounted on my Marlin Guide gun using a Leupold  one piece base and rings. I have my scope's elevation adjustment maxed out and I am still shooting 5-6 inches low at 50 yards. Any ideas on how to correct this? I 've spoken to a local gunsmith and he told me that there are times that when you swap scopes that sometimes you are unable to properly sight in the scope on the new rifle, which is the case here being that I brought this scope from a friend who had it on his rifle before buying a new scope, has anyone ever heard of such a thing happening?

Thanks in advance to all who respond to this posting.

Two solutions, go to Barris signiture ring inserts with the offsets, use a low one in front and a high one in back. or use a 1 or 2 mm rear base shim from Brownells
