For you precision shooters out there, what is your company of choice for cleaning supplies, bore guides, etc?  I am looking to purchase an ultimate kit to preserve the accuracy of my rifles.  I was thinking about the bore guide system from Stoney Point and Tipton or Dewey accessories.  With the bore guide, is it critical that I buy a carbon fiber rod, to prevent rifling damage, or will the brass or Stainless be OK?

Thanks in advance!

I use a Stoney Point guide and Dewey Rods.

I'd stick with carbon fiber.

If at first you don't secede...try..try again.

I prefer carbon fiber, but really any quality cleaning rod should work fine.  I like carbon fiber and stainless steel ones.

Don't let it go to your head, cheaptrick.

Even you occasionally happen to be right (as evidenced by the fast that we agreed).  I strongly suspect this is due to the fact that Nikon does not make cleaning rods and your severe case of nikonitis has no bearing on the topic of this discussion.

Bushnelltosis is a mildly infectuous disease, in many ways similar to Nikonitis.  However, as a proud owner of a Bushnell Elite 4200 6-24x40 I find Bushnelltosis has a much milder effect on the ability to evaluate optics objectively than does Nikonitis.

I myself am a recovering Sightronitis sufferer (as SIghtron keeps raising prices, it becomes less of a deal).

No worries.  It will pass and one day you'll be free of this horrible ailment.  Until then though:
