Due to a computer inventory error problem at SWFA at the time of my order, showing more in stock than was actually had on hand (zero), the 2-7x36 Kahles Helia CL I had planned on getting, I won`t be getting! Now discontinued, there are no more to be had and is now off the SWFA web site.Sad.................So! After careful thought, I decided that the best second place alternative for my Howa M1500 .375 Ruger coming this summer, would be the 1.5-5x20 Leupold VX3 with the #4 German reticle, which is now on its way to me!........Yes! Squeeze got a Leupold!!!!ShockedShocked Yikes...........The people at SWFA including CF2, were very apologetic as these things do happen which I understand. They gave me the scope for $399, a $50 reduction, free shipping and threw in the lens pen and a lens intensifier, for a total of $399 complete! Thanks Chris!!!...............Even though I`m somewhat disappointed, I`m really not that disappointed!............Uh Oh!.......The Elite 4200 fan who has bashed the VX3`s for the money paid for them,,,, got a Leupy??........Uh Oh!.......HERE IT COMES!!.....Ooooch!.Whacker..Ouuuch!.Nut%20Kicker..Ooooch!Poker....Ouuuch!Hammer%20Hit......................................................................................Hiding

It will be hard, but I will do my best to hide the true depths of my disappointment with you behind pure and unadulterated sarcasm.

Hey squeeze, lighten up, it sounded to me like he was joking around and feeding it back to you.

Meanwhile, this reminds me of a buddy announcing he was going to get married.  I guess congratulations are on order, but we all know you will regret this later!!!Big%20Grin

....................................Thanks DeerHtr!.................Absolutely! There is nothing wrong with this one or any Leupy. It`s just ironic that I have been critical of Leupold scopes in the past because of their over-pricing in relation to what you get in return!.............In looking at other alternatives to the Kahles 2x7 Helia CL, which is now unavailable and without needlessly spending hundreds more for a 30mm European scope, the Leupold 1.5-5x20 #4 is IMO, the best all-around choice as a DGR scope................My chickens came home to ROOST!......So why not joke around with it and have a few laughs!............................

...................Yes! Great eye relief on the VX3`s! That was also a consideration. Even more eye relief than the 2x7 Kahles that I wanted.

There's a reason that's the absolute #1 choice of scopes for a DGR>

Hey Squeezer.....how does an American made scope end up with a German reticle?  Sounds like a contradiction of values.  Everybody should own at least one Leupy.

I am also waiting for the BIG COMPLIMENT from Ed.  That autta be something else.

...and Japanese glass.

Leupold has some good scopes.  They just aren't always the best price:performance value.  One thing they do have, though, is options.  I have a few Leupys and like them.  Not my favorite brand, but they have an extensive lineup, and I think they offer some models that are among the best choices for certain niche applications, a DGR rifle being one of them.

Squeezer, that is a very nice scope and a good choice for the type of rifle you're mounting it on!

I have one of those scopes. It is a great scope no doubt, but I have found better.

I am beginning to think that I am the only one here with a dry sense of humor (with possible exceptions of tahqua and sakomato, but the jury is still out).

That was a decidedly tongue-in-cheek statement.  Or at least meant that way.
