Stopped by the local outdoor store this week, I was checking out the guns and scopes and the salesman struck up a conversation about the VX III. He claims that VXIII is made with two pieces of tube just like the I and II. He says they started this about 18 months ago.. Say it aint so...Don't sound to good does it?
Buy American if you can!

Leo catalog page 13 LPS, one piece maintube, other than that I can't see that they state one piece on any others even the Mk4's. If this is a decision variable for you call tech. ser. at 503-352-7621 (happen to have the catalog in my hand not that i memorize this kakka).

Well...learn something new every day. I have their 2004 catalog and they do state that the LPS is designed and built to be the highest performing, hardest working group of hunting scopes in the world. Noted: Rugged, one-piece 30mm maintube.

I have to admit that I ASSUMED all of the others were made with the rugged, one-piece maintube too.

And I thought that the people who compared the Nikon Buckmaster to the Leupold VX-III were really just dreaming...as it turns out they have more in common than meets the eye. Now I feel even better about buying the Nikon Monarch with it's LPS like "rugged, one piece tube."

Can you see me now...
