Hi ... I have a Sporterized Springfield 1903A3.  On it is a Weaver K4 scope (from the early 60's)

It has Weaver 1" Rings on it ....says "Weaver Detachable, pat no. 2632251, 1.000", USA" on the rings ...

The front base has a #55 on it, the rear one a #54 .... anyone know what bases they are?  Are they Weaver? ... or does it not matter cause "a base is a base"

Those look like Weaver top mount base numbers.  Installed with some Loctite, and equipped with a good set of steel Weaver style rings, you shouldn't have a problem.........
