Hi, Badger!  Do you need to verify the exact length for mounting clearance purposes?

Otherwise, those numbers are so close as to be basically incosequential.  SWFA is likely showing Zeiss's published specs.  I'm guessing here, but what may have happened is Zeiss rounded off these published numbers initially when converting from metric to imperial units and then later gave a more exact conversion on their website.

Hey RifleDude!  No, what I was thinking when I saw the numbers was that I always liked a shorter more compact scope.  Weight never really concerned me for whatever reason. Looks like Zeiss recently updated there website here and I bet you're right they rounded the numbers before.  But anyway, I still haven't figured out which scope is going on my .30-06 Model 700 mountain rifle.  Don't have the money anyway right now to buy so I go between the 2.5-8x32 Conquest, the 3-9x40 Conquest (which I've had before and was my favorite) or a new VX3 2.5-8x36.  I had a older VariX-III on a mountain rifle in .270 that I sold and that was a darn near perfect fit.  But the Conquest is my favorite scope.  So round and round I go.

Newbie here, but have been lurking for quite a while.

The numbers have change quite a bit on other models.   SWFA vs. the updated Zeiss website show a significant change in weight for the 1.5X5.5.

I have been following  the reviews and posts closely as I am in the process of putting scopes on a pair of .270's.
