Looking to top one of my AR's.... No shooting beyong 300 yards... Most below 200.

I like the:
Trijicon-- 1-4x accupoint
Burris-- TAC 30, MTAC in 1-4x and the TXR in 1.5-6x
Leupold VXR (1-4 Pig Plex) and VX-6 (1-6X)

If the Trijicon had a diferent reticle (post w/ lighted triangle or "weird" German#4) it would be easier--only thing I don't like about the Trijicon's are the reticle.

wan't a scope plus mount under $1000... saving money would be nice...

Opinions? Who owns 2 or more of the above to compare??

For the first and maybe the last time we are doing an extensive group buy on the
SWFA-SS scope line.

Once a certain kit configuration has been sold out it will be pulled from the group buy.

We CANNOT offer the available kits for other SS scope configurations. What you see is what you get.

To order: Click the banners or search the appropriate kit#'s @ swfa.com (KIT3, KIT4, KIT5, KIT6, KIT7).

This AR will be for gun range plinking, possible 3-gun competition and  HD backup. I'm not a bench rest shooter--once sighted in I like to shoot off of the bench.

Love to play "golf" shooting balls down the range. Almost all shoots will be under 300 yards and occasion poke out just for fun. I can't do red dots so well due to an astigmatism--moving away from an Aimpoint.

The Super sniper scope that others abouve like just doesn't get me excited. Due in most part to two things: 1. I'm not crazy about first focal plane reticles since I shoot fast and close ofeten. 2. I'm more of a "national brand"guy (with all due respect from SWFA whom I like).

Leupold 1.25-4x VX-R Patrol.  In my opinion, this is simply the best scope in this category right now.  I felt like I was slow with the Trijicon scopes.  The Burris scopes are nice, glass is good, but the reticle is not something I care for.  The Leupold Patrol scope is in the mid $500 range, which would give you enough to buy a mount and still have money left over to buy ammo....

Oh, and I'm positive some will feel differently, but after using a NF 1-4, then picking up the VX-R Patrol, I felt like the patrol's reticle was better, brighter illumination, and felt like it was brighter!  This is personal opinion only.
