I know it's not a true 1x and requires a long eye relief mount

just looking for some personal feedback on it

I cant say I have played with one much but I have very closely examined one while I was in Dallas at SWFA and it is a very nice scope and would be a great stalking scope or dangerous game scope as it is lit  24/7.   I am probably more likely to buy the 2.5-10x56 model instead but if you hunt by stalking game this would be a great choice. The new standard cross hair with amber dot may be more popular since not a lot of peopld seem to like a post however I grew up with a scope that had a post reticle and I find it very useful in low light.

I don't think the above link/photo is of a scope with a 24 mm. objective bell.  It is clearly in the 40 mm. range. Possibly the 3-9 model?

......................I was contemplating buying a TR21 for my 375 Ruger! Great scope! The only problem with this scope, is that there is not enough tube mounting length for an `06 length action or greater to adjust for eye relief by moving the scope backwards or toward the muzzle............It can be done, but offsetting rings would be needed which IMO are extremely ugly and may interfere somewhat with cartridge loading and shell extraction!....Trijicon really needs to make a lower variable STRAIGHT TUBED scope!!!LocoLocoLoco

for now, I have held off the idea.. I actually bought a Meopta 1-4 but the reticle was overpowering at the lowest setting in very low light / night conditions and I intend to use it on a 6.8 AR which will serve as a hog hunting gun a lot of the times, at night over red lights sometime and stalking..

I decided to try a Trijicon  ACOG TA33 with the 308 reticle as it should be very close to a 6.8 and most shots will be within 50-200 yards
the TA33 at 3x is a good balance poing between quickness and magnification and it's very, very light compared to most ill ret scopes + mount

they are expensive little buggers but they are very nice

Can't you get a one piece picatinny base?  With one of those you can mount it pretty much however you want.  Or do they not have them for your particular rifle?
