I have been looking for a good red dot sight and I really like the Trijicon reflex sights.  I am just trying to decide which one to get.  The RX30 is the newer sight, but I like the reflex IIs different dot options(triangle, chevron etc).   So which is the better of the two sights?

Can't say which is better, I haven't seen the new one, but I have a Reflex II and it is a very good site for its intended purpose.

It's nice to not worry about batteries and switches, the thing is ready to go when needed.

Trijicon makes a good product.

I prefer the RX30 myself (even though I do wish it had a chevron or triangle reticle option but the new RX34 w/a 4.5moa dot is now on Trijicon's website). Huge FOV through the optic means less time to acquire the reticle when shooting from awkward positions w/sloppy cheekweld, more efficient fiber optics reduces the chance of reticle washout. Here's my eval w/reticle pics: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=6&f=43&t=292552

I spent an afternoon with a RX30 so I will take a shot.
The tint is a bit different but does not bother me at all.  To my eyes it is lighter than the old Reflex 2.
You have to love no batteries, simple is good but both sites give you that.
I am a big fan of the triangle over the dot so for now the deuce wins there.
They are both a bit tall, but I can just barely use my BUIS with the RX30.  I have not used a Reflex 2 in years so someone else will have to comment on the height and BUIS issue.

What are you intending on putting it on / using it for?
