Anyone seen or used the Trijicon Long range? I am trying to decide on a Leupold or Trijicon or similar.

Seen it. Believe I read somewhere that it's due out by March (or earlier). No experience with it but I'm looking forward to somebody with some responding to your post.

I got also got lost in the whole which color reticle discussion in the rifle scope forum. I live in the Pac NW and the new green reticle looks good, but out in the woods up here I'm wondering if it will get washed out compared to something of more color contrast to the average back ground.

I dont think the green will stand any chance of getting washed out. The fiber optic on the Trijicons gathers a hell of a lot of light - look at the green pin on a good fiber optic bow sight. I ordered the red triangle 5-20x50 will see in a few weeks when they actually hit the street. This will be the first time they have had target knobs so  I am a little un-easy but I've looked through enough of their glass to know I like it and I cant see them doing something half ass with the reputation they have built for tactical optics.  I would expect to see the price go up on it once it starts to get popular. Having the BAC reticle is something that no other tactical scope has.  I was a little surprised that they did not just take the 2.5-10 and start with that using target / tactical knobs.  The bigest unknown is how much internal adjustment it has - the info is not listed. I'm still waiting for the rifle to come in too. Sad Pacer

What do you think the minimum range for a 5-20 scope is? You posted a response to my Accupoint questions for my Colt 6724, realistically I wont be hunting anything but varmits with it and will be punching paper at 300 to 400, I was looking at the 2.5-10 but the target / tactical knobs interest me. Will you be posting a review after you receive it and what do you think of the green mil dot reticle for target shooting? I was still leaning towards the BAC triangle for speed and less clutter in the FOV.

you will probably not use an illuminated reticle on a range, but maybe coyotes at dusk or simmlar.

According to Scott Berish they have 50 MOA of adjustment which really sucks.  I cannot believe they would only put 50 in it.
