According to this article green seems to be the best color reticle for the human eye to pick up:
Although this is not a hunting scope IYHO would green be easier to pick up in low and medium light than amber or red?

I think there is a green option on all of their scopes I looked through a 3x9x40 with a green dot in regular crosshairs this weekend at a gun shop.

I asked why green and Koshkin told me that Green appears brighter than other colors. There are issues regarding the primary color of the background you are shooting toward though and you should select a contrasting color.
I have red green and amber fiber optic pins on a bow sight and all can be seen very well so it is a viable option. I find that the amber can wash out some when pointed toward a light source at night, but I also find that the amber really stands out on a running deer very nicely. I also like the red. The bottom line is all of them work which one do you like best.  The green is new to the civilian market but the military has had them for a while and in areas with little green that works.

Most of my pistols sport green night sights but one has a yellow rear sight and a green front and for me the green stands out better. The reason I asked is because I've never used color sights for hunting and was really wondering what is the best all around color for hunting various terrains.
