He's got a nice adams apple.

Honestly he's not a bad looking critter, especially depending on what part of Idaho you're around/from.  If I was a betting man, I would bet that a supplemental lime and phosphorus feed would turn him into a brute.

I noticed that goiter also.  Must have been a moose in the family tree.

Not sure what the lump is, Nope wont be hunting him this fall to young like to give him 2 or 3 more years. Maybe even then might just keep him around for stud service. As for the part of Idaho I'm  from he's a little on the small side but not much tho, the state record non-typical came out this area a few years ago as matter of fact I think I even have pic of it. I'll see if I can find it

I'm heading out in the am to see if I can find him. No holding my breath tho seeing they have a home range of about 115 square miles. But Yeah I'll be careful packing the 12 ga with 00 buck shot Big Grin and the 40 S&W as back up.

This buck was killed this season, the lump that looks like "his adam apple" was part of the infection he had. His back hip area was nothing but big puss ball the size of a basketball. Real was sad he turned out to be 5x4.
