I am reinstalling bases and rings to hold my Elite 4200 in place on my .243 cal Savage. Can anyone tell me the proper inch pound torque for the base bolts and then the ring bolts this is using the torx head bolts.

Also, can anyone refer me to a good source to get an inch pound torque wrench at a reasonable price.

Thanks

Charlie

15 inch pounds on the rings, and depending on what kind of bases your using all the way up to 65 inch pounds, im thinking the bases are right in that 15inlb area also, but i may be wrong there

That is why I started using Warne rings..... Warne makes a wrench that is "pre-set" to their recommendations - takes all the quess work out of it!!  I think the wrench is @ $25.00.
