Haha, thought it was a good time to bring up the beer again but with all this ghost pepper talk... probably like water on a grease fire. Big smile

LOL, I'm thinking that was a few miles behind us in this conversation.... LOL

That stuff my son had was called "Satan's blood"  and it was out before Ghost peppers....

All I know is I dipped the tip of a toothpick it the stuff then dropped the toothpick into an 8qt pot of chili and I could DEFINITELY tell I had put it in there!!!! Embarrassed

Yeah my taste buds shut down about the time the roof of my mouth starts peeling.... Ouch

There’s a point where it’s so hot that taste goes out the window.

Great choice on the beer Ed! 🍻

My son had some Hot Sauce that came in a little Genie Bottle.  It was rated at 800K Scoville units of heat.

He used to take it to Papa John's when he worked there evenings.  The PJs was next to the Hanover mall so kids were always coming in looking for freebies.

He'd give them a free pizza if they would dip a toothpick into the hot sauce then stick it in their mouths.
This usually ended with them outside throwing up from the experience.....

He'd actually give them the pizza afterwards if they were still interested.... I think he only gave away two pizzas in several months.  It all ended when somebody called and complained.... Confused

One of the guys brought a bottle of this to the hunt camp.  Used a tiny bit to spice up some chili we had made - this is absolutely the hottest stuff I have ever tried.  One guy tried a couple of very small drops later on a cheeseburger and paid a price for that.  There's probably something hotter but I can't imagine using it.

Unfortunately I don't think I would survive dinner at Ed's house....  Spontaneous Combustion would be the most likely outcome.... Evil Smile
