"vx-1 leupold with the turkey plex reticle "
I'm not sure what a 'turkey plex' is, but I'm thinking it will subtend most of a squirrel at fifty yards.

The main thing about shotgun scopes is the light weight. It is difficult to keep a heavy scope from sliding in the rings when you've got that kind of recoil.
I prefer shotgun scopes for rimfires, because the parallax is often set a little farther out than .22 scopes. Having them set too close is more of an issue than too far if you like to plink past fifty yards or so. |

Usually it is just eye relief and parallax that is the diff. A shotgun scope often has a bit more eye relief for the added recoil.

I was going to post this in the rimfire section, but this might be a better spot. I have a 10/22 international. I wanted a 1-4x scope with no front bell so it would look "right" on a Mannlicher stocked rifle. I looked and didn't see anything with a 50y parallax or side focus that would work on a rimfire. I spotted a vx-1 leupold with the turkey plex reticle and it was on sale for $186 shipped. so other than parallax, and before I break the seal on the box, lol, does anyone see any issues with using a shotgun scope on a 22?
