I would also consider a Sightron S2 3-9x42.Great scope warranty and price.

Hi all. I'm in the market for another hunting scope and have narrowed it down to a few but am open to other suggestions. You'll see a price point that I've established but could be changed for the right scope. This scope will be going on a Winchester Model 70 in .300 Win mag with a 26" barrel which has long range hunting potential hence the reticle choices.
I have other deer rifles; Rem 700 in 6mm an old rifle with a 3X9 Bushnell set in see-thru mounts (the open sights get way more use than the scope) this rifle has a short barrel and is my brush gun; Weatherby Vanguard Sporter in .270 the scope is a 3X9 Zeiss Conquest with Rapid-Z 600 reticle, this is a new set-up and is showing real promise if targets are any indication, the scope is great (my 32 year old (youngest) son will be using this one on opening day); T/C Icon in .308 wearing a 4X12 Leupold with long range reticle, hunting deer with this combo last year was a dream 4 for 4 and got one of them at 340 yards +/-. The .300 won't see a lot of action and I really don't need it but man is it fun to shoot. At least for now I don't want to invest a lot in optics for this rifle. Incidentally it has a Leupold VXII (older friction turrets) 3X9 on it right now that I've zeroed +3" at 100 yards and could be put into service as is.
Thanks in advance for any responses, I consider this group to be well informed on this subject and enjoy doing business with SWFA.
