Unfortunately, that's not the one! The reticle I like is far less cluttered than the Horus.

I have 3 of the Leupold VX III Varmint Reticle scopes. I like the reticle enough to have the scopes because of the windage scale, even though I find the Leupolds optically lacking. Since then Zeiss has replied with the Z-600 reticle and feel that it is the better of both worlds. Just like trigger29 said "WOOHOO!! Rapid-Z!!!!!"

For general hunting I like a simple plex.
For really fast shooting, especially at short to medium ranges, I like the Trijicon triangle.
For a multi-point reticle I like a reticle that shouldn't be mentioned here, since it isn't availabe through SWFA. Let's just say it's a FFP reticle with numbered points for both elevation and windage.

We all know the Vortex Dead-Hold BDC (among others no doubt) is better.....windage holds baby
I'm betting most of the guys getting ballistic reticles and thinking they are all set for that rare 400 or 500 yard shot don't even think about the wind.
Why hold for drop but still have to dial for wind? If anything dialing for elevation and holding for wind would be better. Edited by danjojoUSMC - November/12/2009 at 17:37 |

Randall45, if someone wants to show they love a reticle that much they can have at it I guess...
Better to have it multiple answers because one reticle is not best for every thing and a compromise when you make it an all-arounder. I know the benchrest guys with super thin reticles wouldn't want that if they was hunting hogs with the Southern Gent's that are members here.

I like the poll however you can vote as many times for the same scope reticle.

I always liked the thin cross hair with the dot, but the more I look at that Trijicon the more I like it. now I see they have the crosshair and dot so I like it even more, especaily the 5-20.
I've bought a couple of 20x ss's and love the high power for target shooting and bought the mildot master and the cd that goes with it to learn how the mil dots work.
