Can Burris Rings Fit Leupold Bases? |

I could be setting myself up for ridicule here but are bases/rings from two different manufacturers ever interchangeable. I currently have the standard Leupold Bases/Rings on my .300 Win Mag but would like to go with Burris Signature rings. The double dovetail design looks the same but are they interchangeable?
Are there standard sizes on those fittings or does each manufacturer make it to their own specifications to prevent interchangeability? Thanks |

They are interchangable. I tend to trust the Leupold rings more than I trust the Burris Rings with the plastic insert but I have both and the plastic insert does protect the scope from scratching by rings.

Any turn-in dovetail style rings from any manufacturer will work with anyone else's bases designed for that style ring, and vice-versa.

I've also inter-changed the two with no problems, leupold is my preference though.

I have definitely interchanged Burris and Leupy (last week as a matter of fact). LOL.

I have a Remington 7400 with a Leupold base and Burris Signature rings.....have never had any problems.
