I have narrowed my choice for a scope to one of the above. Any suggestions?
Why the above? I want a 50mm objective for around $200. Have 30mm rings and ring reducers so 30mm no problem. The Tasco is made in Japan. Mueller in China. Mueller is 1", Titan is 30mm. Mueller has mil-dot & lit recticle. Titan doesn't.
I plan on getting something better at some point. Will move this scope to something else then.
Application is long-distance target & deer hunting.
If I go with the titan, should I get the 30/30 recticle or 4a?
And yes, I do want a 50mm objective.

I have a Mueller on my .17 HMR its a good scope I dont think it is optically up there with Burris, Leupold VXIII, Nikon Monarchs Weavers Grand Slam or a 4200Elite but I'd say it offers pretty good glass for the money.  The glass is similar I feel to the older Nikon Buckmasters or a Bushnell 3200 as far as brightness and color resolution.  True, the Mueller is assembled in China but the glass does come from Japan so far I have been very happy with mine.  From what I have heard people say Mueller is a great company to deal with so if you get a lemon they will make it right.

The adjustments are very positive and the overall finish of the scope is very nice.  For the money it is a very good buy.  However, my only complaint is its a heavy scope, the 50mm objective contributes to that.  Mine is used on a bench or shooting from a Bipod so not much of an issue, but as a hunting rifle I personally find it too heavy.

Happy Shooting

AC

Titan is a good scope that sufferes from overall Tasco reputation.  Glass quality between the two is probably comparable.  I think Titan has somewhat better adjustments.  If you have to have MilDot, go with the Mueller.  Otherwise, go with a Titan with 4a reticle.

Thanks for the replies.
I really want the mildot but the extra eye relief of the titan is swaying me in that direction. Well, what I really want is a burris euro diamond ...but....have to wait on that.
